Program Structure

The Mountain Ranger Fundamentals program follows a structured modular format designed to support steady, progressive development. Each module builds intentionally on the previous one, combining theoretical principles with applied field practice to create a clear and disciplined learning experience. This approach ensures that every participant advances with confidence, precision, and a solid grasp of essential wilderness skills.

Format

The program follows a blended training format consisting of 65 percent practical field training and skills application and 35 percent theoretical instruction. This balance ensures that every concept is reinforced through real movement, practice, and field scenarios.

Courses

The curriculum is divided into focused courses, each dedicated to a key competency area. These courses build progressively, allowing participants to develop a strong and structured foundation throughout the academic year.

Practical Training

Field days, scenario-based exercises, applied skill stations, and guided challenges form the core of the practical component, emphasizing confidence, safety, and responsible performance in natural terrain.

Duration

Graduates earn the Student Ranger status and may continue their advancement within the structured Wolves of Lebanon Ranger pathway.
